Radio Talk Show Conducted by BUVAD Together With The District COVID-19 Task Force

BUVAD with support from GIZ and European Union (EU) under Civil Society in Uganda Support Programme (CUSP) conducted 6 Radio talk shows  to address the dissemination of the New Standard Operating Procedures at water source points laid by the Ministry of Water and Environment in Kayunga District, Community myths and misconception on COVID- 19 and the general ministry of Health preventive measures against the spread of COVID- 19  under the BUVAD Emergency Support to the Kayunga District COVID-19 Task Force Efforts in Uganda.

These talk shows were conducted on the popular local district FM Radio Sauti FM in Kayunga District on the 13th, 20th & 27th of August plus also on 21st, 23rd, & 28th of July.

The purpose of these Radio talk shows was

To address the dissemination of the New Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) laid by the Ministry of water and environment at public water source points, BUVAD’s contribution towards the Kayunga District COVID-19 Task Force Efforts in COVID-19 prevention and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector in Kayunga District.

To ensure a wide outreach in hard to reach areas of Kayunga District towards raising awareness about the National COVID-19 prevention and other preventive measures under the New Standard Operating Procedures laid by the Ministry of Water and Environment at water source points.

To increase response among community members in following the New Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) laid by the Ministry of Water and Environment

To increase Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures among water Users.

To increase Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures among water Users.
