In 2019 BUVAD received in kind donations of office furniture, a desktop computer, partial contribution towards administrative costs and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) gadget from GIZ –CUSP programme. On addition BUVAD received organization capacity building on the development of Resource Mobilization Strategy to develop the capacity of BUVAD staff members to mobilize resources for Organizational growth and sustainability

In other Projects, BUVAD constructed 3 hand dug bore hole water wells at 3 primary schools, co-funded 14 household rain water harvesting tanks construction using the waste plastic bottles and with fundning from Viiv Healthcare under the positive action for young women and girls of Kayunga, built 3 rain water harvesting tanks for 3 host primary schools that hosted workshops conducted with an integrated approach of sensitizing community members in Busaale village of Kayunga Sub County, Kufu village of Busaana Sub County and Namalere- Kisugu B of Galiraya Sub County on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Bottle Brick Technology, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Training community members on the formation development groups and Construction of Rain Water harvesting tank and buildings construction training workshops of re- using fragile waste plastic bottles as bricks.

BUVAD with support from IDC Empowers was in position to sponsor 15 girl children at different levels of education. 2 girls completed their ordinary level exams and one was able to graduate with a certificate in Early Childhood Development. It’s our mission to sponsor a bigger number than this and we call upon willing sponsors to contact us for child profiles.

Under the Poverty eradication campaign as a means of improving the income status of women within our focal areas, BUVAD helped women to set up a development group called “Get Together Women Development Initiative” through which women have been able to access soft micro loans that they have used to advance their small scale projects, alongside periodical meetings organized by them to share knew skills and ideas on how to improve on their projects.
