BUVAD continues with its ambition to uphold the set Sustainable Development Goals.
As we continue to pursue this noble cause more and more challenges emerge that in due course prompt slight alterations of our laid down project objectives, though prudently in order to address humanitarian concerns within our local communities. With this concerted effort, BUVAD has found itself emerging among the lead small but result oriented non-profits, doing commendable work for humanitarian causes in our focal areas of Kayunga District. BUVAD currently implements the following projects:
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
Our Goal for this program is to improve remote, rural communities’ health statuses in Kayunga region through improved Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene levels at both household and community levels.
Environment & Nature Conservation
Uganda like many other countries around the world is grappling with waste plastic bottles management problems. Kayunga, the focal area of BUVAD is one of the key waste plastic bottle affected Districts in Uganda.
Women Economic Empowerment
BUVAD implements a Women Microloan support towards the women development coop. A group named “Get Together Women’s Development Initiative” was created with a pioneer number of 13 women beneficiaries.
Orphaned – Vulnerable Youths & Children
The overwhelming number of orphaned and vulnerable children crisis in Kayunga district and Uganda as a whole has resulted in high school dropout rates.
